Again and Again and Again

When has God never been there for you? Even when you think you are alone, God is there! And He will solve all your problems. He will heal all your pain. He has the PERFECT plan for your life. When are you going to praise God like you REALLY trust Him? When are you going to truly give up on trying to things on your own and allow God to be GOD in your life? I mean, when are you going to let Him be first and foremost, let Him guide you and take care of you and let the endless depth of His love pour over you? Stop worrying and praise the King of kings! He is the Lord of lords! He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.

Psalm 113 “Praise ye the Lord. Praise, O ye servants of the Lord, praise the name of the Lord.
2 Blessed be the name of the Lord from this time forth and for evermore.
3 From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the Lord’s name is to be praised.

AND IF HE DID IT BEFORE, HE WILL DO IT AGAIN! That difficult thing you are going through? GIVE IT UP TO GOD!! LET HIM HANDLE IT! Be empowered! Get up and praise Him now! Selah.

He’s faithful God

Flow To You

What is your desire and what is your prayer this morning? It can be so easy to get distracted and off course in our lives, no matter your age or circumstance. It can be easy to forget why we worship God and do the things we do in obedience to him. The Bible says in Romans 7 that we do the things we do not wish to do because of our sinful nature; our natural flesh has desires of its own contrary to what God intends for us. Worship is a form of discipline to strengthen our spirit-man to overcome the desires of our flesh because as believers and worshippers of God we have life in the Holy Spirit:

“So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the powera]”>[a] of the life-giving Spirit has freed youb]”>[b] from the power of sin that leads to death.” –Romans 8:1-2

Worshiping God is an act of obedience and surrender. Surrendering what we think is right in order to obtain the righteousness of Jesus Christ. Honoring the Lord God our Savior for all that He has already done, even if He does nothing else for us from this day forward. Yet hoping and believing that the best is yet to come. So let all your worship and all your praise flow to the one and only God this morning! Selah.

Great Are You Lord

As amazing as God is, we often take him for granted. In our praise and worship time, let us not make light of the words we sing. Take note of what they really mean. This song proclaims that it is a privilege to worship the Lord and it is an honor to be in His presence. According to the dictionary, a privilege is a special right, advantage, or immunity granted or available only to a particular person or group of people. We have been granted an advantage as children of God to use worship as a weapon in this Christian walk. Worshipping God is an act of spiritual warfare used against any attacks of the enemy. Don’t take your praise lightly, and especially don’t take your worship for granted. Paul and Silas literally broke chains with their acts of praise and worship, and so can we all.

Shout it out now! Lift up your voice and fight! “Great are You, Lord! Great are You, Lord!”

Made A Way

This young man is 15 years old, praising God with a song with lyrics that describe a testimony every single follower of Christ can attest to. Think about those difficult circumstances in your life, even the ones you thought got the better of you – Are you still standing? Are you still living and breathing and covered with God’s grace and mercy? That is because He made a way for you, even when we turn our backs on Him – He still wants the best for us all. Only the love of God can make that possible, only He can move mountains and cause walls to fall and we have no idea how He does it, but aren’t you grateful? Are you not humbled? Are you not blessed??

This young is pouring out his heart to God, and we may not know why but we have every reason to be like him. We have every reason to give God all the praise and all the worship.

Deuteronomy 10:21: He is the one you praise; he is your God, who performed for you those great and awesome wonders you saw with your own eyes.

Ephesians 3:20-21: Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen.

Akekho Ofana Nojesu (There is No One Like Jesus)

You don’t have to understand the language to feel the power of the praise of the people of God! See how they dance and move and shout to God? Aren’t they having a great time praising God together? We should strive to have the same or better praise and worship experience no matter who we are, where we are, or the circumstances we face! God deserves the all the glory and the honor and the praise! Don’t let the rocks and stones cry out in your place, praise God now and always. Selah!

The song says we can’t make it without God! By ourselves, it won’t work. But God is our ever-present help, all-powerful and righteous. Let us praise Him, trusting Him in all things! Amen.

Hebrews 13:5-6: “5 Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”[a] 6 So we may boldly say: “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”[b]

The Truth Be Told…

The word is in your mouth. God spoke His Word out into the dead world, giving it life and fulfilling His will.

Words are spirit; and when spoken, a word will search for a body to be established, because it cannot return. The preacher has to establish the word in himself; until the word is established in a body, the word remains spirit.

When we speak a word that comes from God, it is intentional – there is someone with a certain situation who is meant to hear and receive. That’s why it’s dangerous to listen to gossip, and listen to garbage; it will influence what we preach – it weakens discernment. It is also very important to function under the unction of the Holy Spirit.

Therefore the speaker becomes the carrier of the Word, which is the Holy Spirit established in us (The life I live not I that live but Christ that lives in us), if we are given the authority to speak the Word, then we are also given the authority to unlock any barrier to the establishment of the word. Until the word is established it remains unfulfilled.

The word needs to become flesh. If our hearts are not right, the word will not germinate and produce. The word is not the problem, the ground of our hearts is; until we fix our hearts to receive, we will remain a un-fertile ground. The word is powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, it will accomplished the task it sets out in the lives of whoever has prepared themselves to receive.

Resurrection FOREVER

We had a great service on Resurrection Sunday last week, and today we had an awesome service that including a moving baby dedication.

I realized that even though the time set aside for celebrating the extraordinary sacrifice Jesus made for his people out of love has come and gone, the feeling of overwhelming gratitude and appreciation is still felt…and as follower of Christ, I want to celebrate this victory FOREVER!

This is the poem I wrote for Easter, I hope it blesses you! Selah.

Jesus is the epitome of love
And I pray that every heart will reflect the gift of Your sacrifice
A gift no other being could fathom, that no other being could bear
to lay down for Your brother Your own innocent life
That all may know God, that all may come to hear
The good news of Jesus Christ, the epitome of love

The filthy rags of my soul are only made beautiful
By Your blood
Thick, heavy, fragrant like oil
It covers us and makes us whole
And is nothing but impossible
But what is impossible is more than possible with You, Jesus
With You alone

No one should have to tell us to worship Christ
Because the whips and the nails and thorns more than suffice
And yet we still reject the gift of life
That only Jesus can give us, why?

Today is a day to reflect on missed opportunity
Every moment we live is closer to eternity

The Truth Be Told…

The truth be told: A little leaven leavens the whole lump. (Galatians 5:9)
We often wonder why we have to deal with so many challenging situations. Why do I have to deal with so many problems? I am a good person and yet I have this weight carrying. That’s what’s wrong, the weight I am carrying. A problem is defined as an unintended deviation from a plan or objective. Without complete trust in the leadership of the Blessed Holy Spirit, it is very difficult to identify and appropriately deal with the devil’s traps. His traps are specifically and meticulously designed to cause problems for US. The devil’s goal is that we end up living in our deviation not or destiny.
So, brothers and sisters, I implore us all to put the weight down, without which we will never be able to objectively run this race to a successful conclusion.

The Truth Be Told…

The truth be told:  A little leaven leavens the whole lump. (Galatians 5:9)
Leaven : (A pervasive influence that modifies something, or transforms it for the better)
This is a wonderful use of metaphor. There are things (Especially ones we consider small and harmless) in our lives that are modifying and transforming God’s plans for our growth and development (blessing) and causes us to focus on our ability to acquire (prosperity). These can be people, habits, misguided desires, works of the flesh (Gal 5), and poor choices.  The scriptures teach us to lay aside every weight and sin. Today we are talking about weight, and how God will not take away any weight we don’t first lay down.(Heb 12:1)
